Ingredients

Good grooming starts with knowing what you’re putting in your beard and moustache. Can You Handlebar formulas are built around oils, waxes, and conditioners that each have a specific job, from softening and conditioning facial hair to creating the structure needed for shaping and hold. No ingredient needs to be there just to make the label longer.

Beeswax

Found in: Moustache Wax + Beard Dry Oil

Beeswax is what gives our grooming products structure. In Moustache Wax, it creates the backbone needed to shape, train, and hold your moustache in place. In Beard Dry Oil, we use it differently: it turns the conditioning oil blend into a solid balm while adding just enough control for light, natural-looking shaping. Same ingredient, two very different jobs.

Lanolin

Found in: Moustache Wax + Beard Dry Oil

Lanolin helps give both formulas their rich, workable feel. In Moustache Wax, it works alongside beeswax to create a product that can be warmed, worked through the hair, and shaped rather than simply coating the surface. In Beard Dry Oil, it becomes part of the heavier conditioning base that gives the balm its substantial feel on coarse facial hair.

Olive Oil

Found in: Beard Oil + Moustache Wax

Olive oil plays an important conditioning role in our formulas. It forms part of the base of CYHB Beard Oil, where several different oils work together rather than asking one oil to do everything. You’ll also find olive oil in our Moustache Wax, where it helps support a workable formula alongside the waxes and conditioners responsible for hold.

Grapeseed Oil

Found in: Beard Oil

Grapeseed oil is one of the key oils in our Beard Oil blend. Its lighter character helps balance the richer oils in the formula and makes the finished oil easier to distribute through facial hair. CYHB Beard Oil intentionally combines oils with different weights and characteristics so the beard gets more than a quick surface coating.

Castor Oil

Found in: Beard Dry Oil

Castor oil is an important part of the conditioning base in Beard Dry Oil. Its richer feel makes sense in a product designed to sit somewhere between a traditional liquid beard oil and a styling balm. Once warmed between your hands, the Dry Oil spreads through the beard while beeswax provides the light control that distinguishes it from our liquid Beard Oil.

And That’s Not the Whole Formula

Those five ingredients tell a big part of the story, but they aren’t working alone. Depending on the product, CYHB formulas also include MCT, rice bran oil, jojoba oil, meadowfoam seed oil, shea butter, vitamin E, and scent-specific essential oil blends. Each formula is built for a different job, so the ingredients, and the way they’re combined, change depending on whether you’re conditioning a beard, lightly shaping it, or asking a moustache to hold the line all day.

For the complete ingredient list, always check the label on your CYHB product. We believe you should know what’s in the grooming products spending that much time beneath your nose.
